PLS in the Community

Building business, building relationships, building Owasso.

When we launched PLS Balance My Books, we expected spreadsheets, reconciliations, and the occasional panic over a missing bank feed. What we didn’t expect was how much this business would pull us into the heart of Owasso.Building PLS has introduced us to the people behind the storefronts—owners who are hustling early mornings, late nights, and everything in between. Through chamber events, ribbon cuttings, coffeeshop meetups, and those “Hey, how’s business this week?” conversations, we’ve gained a real appreciation for what makes Owasso special: a community that genuinely shows up for each other.Running a business is personal here. It’s neighbors helping neighbors, referrals passed with a smile, and a growing network of people who want to see local businesses thrive. Being part of that has shaped not just our work, but how our family participates in this community.PLS exists because Owasso embraced us. Supporting this place—and the people in it—is part of who we are.

How We Support Local

Here’s what “support local” looks like in practice at PLS:

  • We hire local vendors and professionals whenever possible.

  • We collaborate with local service providers—IT, marketing, design, photography, etc.

  • We shop local for business needs, client gifts, and events.

  • We participate in and sponsor community events that strengthen Owasso’s business ecosystem.

  • We make introductions, cross-promote partners, and help new businesses get plugged in.

Community isn't a marketing angle. It's how we operate day to day.

Volunteering & Giving Back

Supporting the community goes beyond business. These are the local organizations and causes we actively support with our time, resources, and service:

  • LOCAL NONPROFITS & COMMUNITY PROGRAMS – Helping strengthen local families, youth programs, and support organizations.

  • CHAMBER AMBASSADOR VOLUNTEER WORK – Ribbon cuttings, events, and welcoming new members.

  • SEAONSAL COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS – School supply drives, holiday giving, donation events, and more.

We believe community investment shouldn’t be performative—it should be practical, meaningful, and consistent.

Local Businesses We Use & Recommend

We get asked all the time, “Who do you trust with your own stuff?” This list isn’t sponsored... just businesses we personally use, love, and recommend.
